Hello, dear readers! Buckle up because today we’re taking a detour from our usual business talk to venture into the thrilling (and often terrifying) world of my biggest failure. Yes, you read it right my biggest failure. Trust me, there’s no better way to bond than sharing embarrassing stories, right?
Once upon a time, my husband and I, brimming with entrepreneurial spirit, decided to invest in a franchise that promised us the moon. Spoiler alert: we didn’t even get a moon rock. Instead, we got a free ticket on the rollercoaster ride of uncertainty and a disastrous situation that would make even the bravest entrepreneur wince.
Now, you might be thinking, “Oh no, what did they do?” Well, we had two options. One, shut down everything and cry over our doomed franchise dreams. Or two, roll up our sleeves, take a deep breath, and reinvent ourselves. Guess which one we chose? Yup, we went all in on option two because life is too short for low returns on big energy, am I right?
The journey wasn’t easy, but who said running a business was a walk in the park? We hired a consultant, learned from industry colleagues, and turned that failure into a success story that still operates today. And let me tell you, nothing beats the sweet taste of victory after a hearty dose of failure.
As the head of pyop accounting, I’ve used this experience to understand the needs of studio owners, entrepreneurs, and women-owned companies who are striving to build a real business. We believe in financial management with ease, supporting a healthy retail and event-driven studio, and baking smooth financial systems into the DNA of your business. After all, your business’s job is to support you as you support it.
So, if you’re struggling and considering throwing in the towel, remember my story. Remember that failure can be a stepping stone to new opportunities. And most importantly, remember that you don’t have to do it alone. Feel free to reach out; I’m here to assist you.
Until next time, keep hustling and remember: success is just a hilarious rollercoaster ride away!
Thanks for reading, and as always, have a good day!

Creativity and CPAs don’t generally go together. Most people think of CPAs as nerdy accountants who can’t talk with people. Well, it’s time to break that stereotype. Lively, friendly, and knowledgeable can be a part of your relationship with your CPA, as demonstrated by Donna and Chad Bordeaux. They have over 50 years of combined experience as entrepreneurial CPAs. They’ve owned businesses and helped business owners exceed their wildest dreams. They have been able to help businesses earn many times more profit than the average business in the same industry and are passionate about helping industries that help families build great memories.
